Ignite Lansing 2.0 Competition - Paper Airplanes!

Sep 23, 2009

Think back… way back… Back to science class in middle school or high school. Remember making paper airplanes? Well, time to brush up on those skills!

For Ignite Lansing 2.0, we're going to have a paper airplane contest! If your plane flies the farthest, you can win some great prizes from local businesses!

We'll provide you with a piece of paper (8.5" x 11") plus markers to decorate your plane. We're even using recycled office paper to make the competition greener.

In addition, we'll have some optional items for you to use on your paper airplane:

  • Paper clips (you can use one)
  • Tape (you can use up to 3 inches)
  • Glue
  • Staples (you can use 3)

After you construct your plane, you will have up to three chances to get your best distance. The paper airplane that can fly the farthest, wins!

What's in it for you? Maybe a paper cut. But, also, fame and glory plus bragging rights. And, we'll  have some fabulous prizes from great local businesses: Biggby Coffee, Absolute Gallery and Beggars Banquet.
